Welcome to Soy Scentual. Thanks for visiting my online Store. I take great pride in my candles and my ultimate goal is my customer's satisfaction. If you have any special requests or do not see a fragrance you like, feel free to contact me.

When you purchase soy candles you are buying an eco-friendly and healthier alternative to petroleum based paraffin wax candles and supporting the United States farm economy.

My Soy Candle selections include soy votives, soy tealights, and soy melts.(For warmers) I also have a wide selection of jar and container candles including contemporary, elegant and the classic Mason Jar.

Soy Scentuals' wicks contain NO metal or paper.

None of my products are tested on animals and my candles and melts are vegan friendly and Kosher approved!

Payment

I accept payments through PayPal and money orders only. You are not required to have a PayPal account. Please note, your money order MUST clear my bank before your order will be processed. Paypal payments are expected within 24 hours of purchase.

Shipping

Shipping charges are calculated per pound. You can also use the flat rate option at checkout. I can place a lot of melts in a small flat rate box but only 4 jar or container candles. Any quantity over this will be placed in a large flat rate box and charged accordingly.

At the present time I am using PayPal's shipping options which are basic at best. If you choose you can use the contact form to notify me of your selections for puchase and I will send you an invoice with the exact shipping charges. Be sure to include your name and email address. If you do not wish to do this, it is best if you choose the standard shipping if you purchase only soy melts or the flat rate expedited if you puchase any container/jar soy candles.

I am working on incorporating my site into Zen-Cart but it will be a while before it is completed.

All shipping is via USPS, unless customer request otherwise.

If you do choose another shipping option, do not pay immediately. I will send you a revised invoice.

I will consolidate orders and mail via flat rate priority mail if it will save on shipping charges. If this reduces the cost of shipping, a refund will be made if the difference is more than $1.00. If it is less, I will add it to my donation pledge for Defenders of Wildlife.

Please note: During hot summer months I ship only on Monday. This is to avoid candles being detained over the weekends in hot trailors. Soy wax is a soft, natural wax and extremely susceptible to hot temperatures over an extended period of time.

During summer months, we recommend that you not open your purchase when you receive it. Store it in a cool location for approximately 8 hours. If possible, place your purchase in your refrigerator for an hour. This will ensure your wax has returned to a solid state.

Your items will be packaged in an upright position during the summer season. We take great pride in our candles and want to make sure our customer's receive the highest quality product we can offer them.

USPS does will not reimburse for melted candles, If you follow the above suggestion your order should be fine.

We package our orders securely, using bubble wrap and packaging peanuts made from recycled materials. I DO NOT provide insurance. If you wish insurance to be added into your order total, contact me and I will make the necessary adjustments.

If your item(s) are damaged please contact me immediately, so I can contact the shipper. Do not remove anything from the box.
USPS normally requests that you bring the items in for inspection prior to settling a claim. Packaging, etc... must remain intact.

Refunds and Exchanges

I do not issue refunds because you do not like a fragrance. Fragrance descriptions are listed and accurate.

If you have a problem with fragrance throw or any other defect, you must inform me immediately and return your item within 10 days. You are responsible for shipping. Your item will be replaced or a refund issued.

Additional Policies and FAQs

I strive to be as eco-friendly as possible. Gift boxes that contain your order or made from 100% recycled material. Shipping cartons are Cradle to Cradle Certified.

All of my packaging peanuts are made from recycled materials.

I am a firm believer in animal rights and an active, contributing member of the A.S.P.C.A., Defenders of Wildlife, Conservation International and GreenPeace.

Prior to purchasing from any supplier, I take great care in verifying that the items are not tested on animals and do not contain any animal by-products.
